First day back at work

Interesting day today being back at work, felt really odd to be back after being gone for almost 4 weeks.  It was nice though to be outside of the house and not going to or from a doctors office for a change.  Everyone at work was great, just going to have to take it slow and easy because it was a pretty exhausting day eventhough it was a very routine day at work.

It seems like my big obstacle is going to be the chemo causing me to be extremely fatigued.  Today felt like I had been at work all week and was ready for the weekend.  The day started off relatively well, had some cold sweats and headaches but they went away relatively fast and were on and off the whole day.  Around lunch time I really felt like I could just take a nap but as most people know my "naps" last about 4 hours.  The end of the day always goes by really fast and this was no exception.  It was nice to see 3:00 come around so that I could say goodbye and head home.

I just finished eating dinner, some veggies, rice and noodles and I think I am going to call it a night, lay down and go to sleep for the night.

PS, starting to get some side effects.  Most people have a bad cotton mouth during chemo but apparently my saliva glands are getting an opposite message.  Its getting to be a bit gross, maybe others have had this happen too?  Also having some ringing in my ears which comes and goes frequently, hopefully it wont bother me at night.

Rule for today: If I dont feel good, Im going home.  No use making myself worse trying to be a tough guy and stay at work to prove a point.  Hopefully I heed my own advice in the future.
