What a week! Sorry about the delay on this last post, but when I got home I wanted nothing more than to crawl into my own bed and go to sleep. In fact if it wasn't for the fact that I haven't eaten anything since about noon I think Id still be there resting.
It was a very interesting week Id have to say, lots of tiredness with a little bit of nausea thrown in just to keep things interesting. I would say though that my first hell week of Chemotherapy was pretty much successful. The staff at the treatment center really had a rhythm going with me and kept telling me how well I seemed to be responding to things which was really nice.
I'm not sure how the next two weeks are going to pan out, but I think I need to do whatever I can to start increasing the ability of my immune system in any way that I can. Been drinking a lot of water, and while I would like something flavored, the taste of the diet soda and whatnot really makes my taste-buds go a little wonky and makes it taste like I am drinking my chemo chemicals. Could really go for some fresh OJ or other juice but I'm afraid the acidic content may be a bit much or I will overdo it because I'm enjoying it too much.
Pretty happy that this is a long weekend, thanks to the MLK holiday coming up, I have a dream too, its just not the same one at this moment. Thanks for the day off work anyways.
